Real-life simulation for intelligent system engineering
Disneyland Resort Paris, France - October 8th & 9th , 2008
The world of simulation has been evolving at a whirlwind pace the past years. With everyone trying to engineer and design products in faster cycles with higher quality, industry leaders have turned to simulation to make the difference. The advantages are loud and clear: the cost of changing a design is relatively low and this gives engineers a high degree of freedom to experiment with alternative solutions – early in the process. Not only has simulation become smarter, the tools have become increasingly tailored to a particular workflow or task. Look at LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, an integrated 1D multi-domain platform, and LMS Virtual.Lab, a full-impact 3D virtual simulation environment, both complete with specialized design optimization tools. A subsidiary of LMS, Noesis Solutions leads the Process Integration and Design Optimization (PIDO) market with its successful OPTIMUS product line. In a sense, one might say that intelligent system simulation today is coming of age. Replicating accurate real-life product behavior under actual user circumstances has clearly become a make-or-break aspect to evaluate design-critical quality and performance early in the cycle. Yet no matter how advanced your software and tools, simulation today still relies on a validation process: a time-consuming process that requires model detailing and accurate load creation. On top of that, engineers need to consider new techniques like Design of Experiments (DOE), Design for Six Sigma or multi-attribute balancing. So if simulation is to truly play a revolutionary role in the engineering cycle, the goal needs to be optimized ‘real-life simulation’, a true-to-life representation that can be analyzed, investigated and balanced for best-in-class product design extremely early in the design cycle. These and other real-life simulation challenges will take center
stage during LMS International’s annual conference held this
year in Paris, France at the Hotel New York in Disneyland Resort
Paris on October 8th and October 9th , 2008. Come and hear
engineers and experts from leading manufacturers in the automotive,
aerospace, and other advanced manufacturing sectors from around the
world share their opinions concerning the latest engineering
simulation developments. You will have plenty of opportunities to
network and discover success stories that can help you and your
organization find the right balance in the world of real-life
simulation. |
