European Built Environment CAE Conference (EBECC)
Featuring presentations and discussions given by industry-leading
companies and expert users of technology from ANSYS, EBECC will
showcase the very latest state-of-the-art multiphysics simulation
technologies and innovations in CAE-related disciplines, including
computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for airflow modelling and finite
element analysis (FEA) for structural studies. Technology for the
fully integrated application of multiphysics simulation to give
maximum efficiency and design benefit will also feature. Topics
include:
• Occupant comfort: offices, atria, public buildings,
underground trains and stations
• Specialist design considerations: seismic response,
cyclic loading on structures, cooling of data centres
• Wind engineering: pressure mapping, pedestrian
comfort, structural loading
• Fire and safety: fire modelling, smoke transport,
fire suppression, structural resilience
• Homeland security: explosion modelling, chemical and
biological gas spread
• HVAC and refrigeration equipment: fans, chilled
beams, facades, diffusers, grills, noise modelling
EBECC presentations will be designed to address industry
requirements, demonstrating how analysis has contributed to design
and engineering processes and helped assure that operational
performance is not compromised. Papers will be given on specific
technologies and case studies that highlight best practice,
demonstrating both the engineering and business case for the
application of CAE.
EBECC is designed to attract a diverse range of stakeholders,
providing a rare opportunity to network with directors, managers,
partners, associates, consultants and engineers from
industry-leading companies.
As part of the event, an evening dinner will be held on the first
night of the conference, set in the dramatic surroundings of the
Tower of London, located in London’s oldest financial
district. The night will begin with a tour of the crown jewels in
the Jewel House followed by a pre-dinner drinks reception in the
White Tower, which was completed in the year 1087. The evening will
finish with dinner served in The New Armouries.
For information on bookings, hotel reservations or other
information, visit the event Web site at www.ansys.com/events/ebecc
