Course "Computational Acoustics"

Together with three partners SIMetris organizes a course about "Computational Acoustics" that will take place in Nuremberg for the first time. The course will be held from June, 10th to June 11th 2008.

The course is arranged by two well known research departments, the Institute for Modeling and Computation of the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg and the Department of Sensor Technology of the University Erlangen-Nuremberg, as well as by the companies Novicos GmbH and SIMetris GmbH. Please note, that the course language is german.

Contents of the course are fundamental training within the topics:

* Technical Acoustics
* Finite Element Method (FEM) including the most important couplings
* Boundary Element Method (BEM)
* Statistic Energy Analysis (SEA)
* Measurements to validate simulation results

Practical examples presented by the companies Novicos and SIMetris will show the applicability of the mentioned methods to real world tasks and problems.
