Flowmaster Releases V7 Aerospace
Flowmaster Ltd is pleased to announce the release of Flowmaster V7
Aerospace. The first dedicated thermo/fluid system simulation
software tool developed specifically to meet the challenges of the
Aerospace industry. V7 Aerospace will significantly benefit the way
organisations implement the design and simulation of fluid and
thermal systems throughout their development process.
By working closely with leading global aerospace organisations and
gaining an understanding for their simulation needs, Flowmaster has
created a solution that enables organisations to integrate system
simulation software with their existing CAE and CFD tools,
providing an integrated approach and a robust core for fluid system
design processes.
V7 Aerospace brings major improvements in the modelling of fuel
systems with the introduction of a ‘3D Co-ordinate
system’, which enables the user to rotate an aircraft on its
axis and simulate the effects of external body forces upon fuel
systems whilst in flight. ECS engineers will benefit from the
‘Psychrometric Modelling’ functionality which will
track and modify changes in moisture and humidity through an
environmental control system. Frequency domain post-processing will
aid the optimisation of hydraulic systems. V7 Aerospace also
incorporates a catalogue of industry-tailored components. Users can
build and customise their own component catalogues - reducing
project time and improving the quality and repeatability of initial
designs.
By utilising a central database structure and adding powerful
security and accessibility controls, V7 Aerospace ensures that
simulation data and component models can be safely shared and
tracked across your organisation and supply chain. According to Jason Burke, Flowmaster Aerospace Product Manager,
“This new version of Flowmaster will give aerospace users
unprecedented capabilities in fluid system modelling. For the first
time aerospace companies will have a fluid system analysis tool
specifically tailored to their needs, as well as having the ability
to customise the software to better fit in line with their current
working practises.”
