General Guidelines for Good Convergence in Computational Fluid Dynamics

These guidelines are aimed at a relatively inexperienced CFD user, to provide general advice on the issues regarding convergence of CFD solutions. It is intended to supplement any code specific issues, for which the vendor’s manuals and support services should be the first point of call. There are also a number of specific tips for achieving convergence. Contributions to increase this knowledge base are gratefully received. If you would like to submit a convergence tip please forward it to the working group chairman, using the form found here.
