Physica (Multi-Physics Simulation)

Epsilon

Multiphysics simulation requires the solution of traditionally disparate mathematical models.

PHYSICA 3.00 enables the concurrent resolution of both the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and computational solid mechanics (CSM) aspects of real life processes. As part of this simultaneous solution the interactions between the physical models are resolved. The solution of a fully coupled model over a realistic geometry frequently requires significant computational effort. In order to reduce the simulation time PHYSICA 3.00 is available for use on parallel systems.

Further details are available on the following aspects of PHYSICA 3.00:

* CFD overview
* CSM overview
* Coupling between CFD and CSM
* Parallel implementation

New features in PHYSICA 3.00 include:

* Vertex-based flow algorithms
* Non-Newtonian flow models
* Group solvers
* Static finite element solvers for CSM
