UK2010 Agenda Announced

NAFEMS Announces Agenda for UK Conference 2010

NAFEMS, The International Association for the Engineering Analysis Community, has announced the preliminary agenda for it's 2010 UK Conference, to be held in Oxford, UK, on June 8-9 2010.

Featuring over 50 presentations from industry, academia and software vendors, the agenda covers various aspects of engineering analysis and simulation, from durability and integration, to oil & gas and earthquake analysis.

NAFEMS Chief Executive, Tim Morris, commented; "This year we saw a huge response to the call for presentation for the UK Conference. The quality of the abstracts submitted has been better than ever, with Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics now permeating industry across the board. We are confident that this event will provide UK users of simulation and analysis technology with the only truly independent and international viewpoint on the use of the technology."

The last NAFEMS UK Conference, held in 2008, attracted over 150 delegates, with 22 sponsors and exhibitors. "Once again the conference is on course to attract a significant number of delegates" , continued Mr Morris. "At NAFEMS, we obviously recognise that the economic situation makes conference attendance more difficult to justify, and that is why we have introduced an "earlybird" registration program, whereby delegates can register for the conference before March 31st and receive a 15% discount on the standard registration fee."

The full preliminary agenda, as well as access to discounted earlybird registration, is available now on the Conference website, www.nafems.org/uk2010

The two day conference will cover the current best practices and state-of-the-art in FEA, CFD and associated technologies, providing attendees with the most comprehensive overview of the technology available. In addition to the informative main conference sessions, this time the conference will be further enhanced by activities hosted by a number of the NAFEMS Working Groups.

The conference aims to increase awareness and provide a discussion forum for topics that are important and relevant to engineering industrialists and academics. NAFEMS is acutely aware that the current economic climate places as even greater focus on the business benefit that simulation can bring to industry. In response to this, the conference will endeavour to highlight the economic issues associated with simulation.

Being held at the Kassam Stadium Complex in Oxford in the heart of England, the NAFEMS UK Conference 2010 is readily accessible from the across the UK, as well as mainland Europe.

Sponsorship & Exhibition Opportunities

The 22 companies that chose to exhibit and sponsor the UK Conference 2008 found it to be an excellent opportunity for promotional and product / project awareness, and direct access to technology leaders. The 2010 Conference will provide a similar opportunity with a number of exhibition spaces available for vendors of software, hardware and associated services to demonstrate their wares and meet with delegates.
