NAFEMS World Congress 2009 - Call for Papers

NAFEMS World Congress 2009 Announced

Call for Papers Open for The International Congress on Simulation Technology for the Engineering Analysis Community

Glasgow, UK, July 1st 2008 – NAFEMS, The International Association for the Engineering Analysis Community, today launched a Call for Papers for the NAFEMS World Congress 2009 (NWC09), which will take place on June 16th -19th 2009 on the island of Crete, Greece.

NWC09 will be THE International Congress on Simulation Technology for the Engineering Analysis Community. The Call for Papers gives all those involved in engineering analysis and related disciplines the opportunity to present at this world-renowned biennial Congress, and ensure that they are part of the largest and most respected independent engineering analysis event on the calendar.

For the past twenty-five years, the NAFEMS World Congress has brought together the leading minds in the simulation and analysis world, from industrial practitioners, consultancies, academic researchers and software developers across the globe. The Congress has become a fixture for the simulation community, and NWC09 promises to be the largest and most successful event of its kind.

The Congress will cover a multitude of topics, addressing every aspect of engineering simulation in a packed three-day programme. Papers are invited on all topics relating to simulation and analysis, FEA, CFD, MBS and Multiphysics. An extensive listing of the topics being considered is available at the NWC09 website, www.nafems.org/congress

NAFEMS Chief Executive, Tim Morris, commented; “The NAFEMS World Congress is unique in its position as the only truly independent international event dedicated to the engineering analysis and simulation community. Attendee numbers continue to increase with each Congress – the 2007 event welcoming almost 300 participants from around the world, and we anticipate that NWC09 will once again exceed this level of engagement. The presentations and papers submitted for the event are consistent in their high-quality and exciting content, and we eagerly await abstracts for the 2009 Congress.”

As well as numerous technical tracks covering every aspect of engineering analysis, NWC09 will also include a number of accompanying activities including training courses, workshops, round-table meetings, and an extensive exhibition area. The social aspects of the meeting are also renowned in the analysis community – “Networking is a vital part of an event such as this” , commented Mr Morris, “and the World Congress provides an excellent opportunity to communicate and engage with colleagues, as well as enabling attendees to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in the industry through our product showcase sessions, exhibition area, and social events such as the Congress banquet and cocktail reception. All in all, NWC09 is an unmissable event for everyone involved in the industry.”

The deadline for abstract submission is October 6th 2008. Instructions on how to submit your abstract for consideration, as well as full details of all topics being considered, and further information on the venue, deadlines and travel information, can be found on the congress website, www.nafems.org/congress
