The final FENet meeting was held in conjunction with the NAFEMS World Congress 2005, held in May 2005. NAFEMS was the coordinator of the FENet project, and the World Congress is widely regarded as the premier independant conference for the FE community. Holding the meetings together gave huge exposure to the findings and conclusions of the FENet project.
A principal objective of FENet was to collate and structure existing information and to facilitate the efficient exchange of experience and knowledge within, and between, different industrial sectors within the European Community. The findings of the FENet project were presented throughout the conference in each session, and provided an important and enlightening insight into the work and findings of the network over the past four years.
