Computational Structures Technology
With more than 47 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Dr. Dreisbach has been a leader, engineer, professor and advisor who has pursued his assignments and objectives with passion. He has led pioneering efforts in the development, validation, application, support and maintenance of large-scale multitechnology computing systems, spanning linear and nonlinear response of metallic and advanced-composite structures due to static and dynamic load environments, fracture mechanics, flutter, and structural/acoustic interaction.
Dr. Dreisbach had been selected as the STF Advisor to the Structures Technology Domain across The Boeing Company Enterprise. In this role, he was the system manager leader of the Computational Structures Technology initiative that focused on implementing enterprise-wide, systems-based, cross-functional, lean computing systems for optimizing conceptual and detailed designs of innovative aerospace vehicles.
Dr. Dreisbach holds a B.S. and an M.S. in engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in structural mechanics from the University of Colorado (Boulder). He is a registered (licensed) Professional Engineer, an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA), a Fellow of The Royal Aeronautical Society in London, England, and a member of ASME, the International Council of Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), and the Sigma Xi National Scientific Research Society.
