SMS Focus Teams

The following Focus Teams have been formed to support working activities of the Systems Modeling and Simulation Working Group:

Metadata Focus Team - Lead: Peter Coleman (Airbus)

This Focus Team is concerned with SMS modelling metadata in collaboration with related initiatives.

Roadmap Focus Team - Lead: Frank Popielas (SMS_ThinkTank)

This Focus Team drives the strategy for the Community activities, is responsible for the SMS Roadmap and develops and coordinates SMS Community publications / flyers .

Standards Focus Team - Lead: Hans Peter De Koning (DEKonsult)

This Focus Team aims to identify and promote the maturity and industry adoption of relevant international standards that enable Systems M&S and the integration of MBSE with engineering simulation.

Looking at relevant standards in the SMS context, the SMSWG produced the What is FMI? flyer. This is a short guide promoting awareness on the Modelica FMI standard for Model Exchange and Co-simulation.

Terms & Definitions Focus Team - Lead: Greg Garstecki (Garstecki Modeling Solutions)

This Focus Team has an ongoing task to compile a common set of shared Terms and Definitions to serve the model-based systems engineering community.

S​MS Focus Team - Lead: Alexander Busch (Ansys)

T​his Focus Team aims to refine the understanding of Systems Modeling and Simulation in the context of MBSE and engineering simulation.
