The climate crisis is driving significant change in the energy and chemicals sectors, with substantial new process development and adaptation of existing processes to accommodate new feedstock and energy sources.
The seminar will showcase the Siemens gPROMS digital design technology that is helping the green hydrogen industry to optimize process design with a focus on robustness under uncertainty and flexibility to enable unlocking additional benefits during operation. It will describe and demonstrate how this is achieved using tools that allow innovators to rapidly explore the process design space to make decisions with limited information and under high uncertainty using high-fidelity process models. Undertaking a consistent modeling approach through all phases of a project enables complete knowledge transfer between teams and ensures optimal process design with deep process understanding that can be deployed to operations for real-time monitoring and optimisation.
