The 3rd European SPDM conference was held in Munich to commemorate 15 years of production usage of an SPDM solution which began with the go-live of CAE Bench at BMW on 19th December 2000. It represented a landmark in the development of the SPDM domain in several ways. In addition to major milestones in the deployment of SPDM for whole vehicle simulation at early adopters of SPDM, Audi and BMW, two more Automotive OEM's, GM Opel and VW presented how they are deploying SPDM capabilities to support simulation.
