The term “engineering simulation” has a very broad meaning. We always need to be able to adjust our understanding of what it encompasses based on the current market and engineering trends, and their requirements. For a while now,engineering simulation has been a foundational capability and competitive differentiator for businesses, especially engineering-driven businesses. A key differentiator continues to be that engineering simulation is used and made available at all stages of the development process and lifecycle. This means, engineering simulation is used by the various domains within an organization that are not necessarily simulation experts – it is being democratized.
