The future of engineering analysis and simulation (EAS) is a multi-faceted topic: technologies that are relevant, vendors turning those technologies into usable software and systems, and end-user enterprises leveraging those vendor offerings into business growth and advantage. From my 50+ years in all portions of this EAS spectrum, I am taking this NAFEMS-invited opportunity to make some (hopefully well-informed) personal observations on where EAS is headed (the “long view”) over the next 10 or more years.
