The proliferation of CFD software packages developed or modified for specific markets is attracting new users who would not have been interested in flow simulation otherwise. This opinion piece by Kamran Fouladi of Infomec (NAFEMS CFD e-Learning Tutor) discusses the reasons for the emergence of these software packages and what needs to be done to retain these new users and help them use CFD properly.
