For more than 100 years, ASME has successfully attracted volunteer technical experts to develop, maintain and promulgate ASME Codes and Standards. Participation by volunteers in ASME Code Committee activities is the life-blood of the ASME standards-writing process and representation by many different organizations from various perspectives ensures that all interests are considered and critical to the health of industry. This is achieved through a network of over 700 committee and supported by almost 6000 subject matter experts on variety of topics, such as: nuclear power, boilers and pressure vessels, piping, cranes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, elevators and escalators, energy assessment, fasteners, plumbing, flow measurement, and verification and validation of modeling and simulation.
