Next Steps with Multibody Dynamics Simulation

This 3-session course offers guidance on how to assess and plan the task of carrying out advanced Multibody Simulation Analysis of systems and mechanisms. By attending, you will build a theoretical, numerical and methodological background which will allow you to build advanced MBD models.

Examples are discussed in detail to illustrate the different technologies. Focus is put on how to introduce more realism in an MBS model so to better replicate the physics, ending up with latest trends in the discipline, and special focus on the observed convergence between MBD and Finite Element Analysis, including:

  • Engineering assessment – is your model realistic?
  • Going through advanced concepts like gear models, tires, contact,
  • Specific MBD packages and verticals,
  • Introducing more realism through the use of nonlinear flexible bodies,
  • Optimizing a model,
  • Simulating Multiphysics,
  • Link with PLM.
