“BAM” – A Collaborative R&D Project for the Development of a Simulation Based Solution for the Design and Manufacture of 3D Woven Composites

This paper was presented at NAFEMS World Congress. Around 630 individuals from around the world gathered in Stockholm, Sweden in June 2017 In what became NAFEMS' largest ever event to date.

34 different countries were represented, with the largest number of delegates (limited to top 5 coming from: Germany, United States, Sweden, United Kingdom, and France.)

Nearly 400 different organizations were represented at NWC17 with over 340 presentations delivered. Attendees had access to over 30 different training courses and special sessions, opportunities to meet with 36 of the leading vendors in our industry, as well as a dining experience seated next to the Vasa, a Swedish warship built around 1626, which was resurrected from the bottom of Stockholm harbour after only sailing about 1,300m on its maiden voyage in 1628.
