Abstract
In the frame of Airbus Group project DDMS (Digital Design Manufacturing and Services), Airbus Helicopters is progressing on definition and implementation of a transverse SPDM (Simulation and process Data Management). Preliminary analysis highlighted that deployment of an SPDM solution, according to Airbus Helicopters constraints and needs, should be considered in 3 main steps: SoR(System of Record) & data flow to master the wide software landscape Simulation framework development and DMU integration Publication and exploitation of simulation data (AI, big data, ?) This approach was presented during the NAFEMS congress 2020*. The main drivers was to involve upstream the whole simulation community to ensure from the beginning: Master the data (ensuring cost avoidance and single source of truth): traceability of data, digital continuity, seamless collaboration Master simulation processes (improving lead time and savings): get the basement to deploy specific business capabilities to rationalize and standardize metier activities. This project is taking place into a global transformation project, so called DDMS, for which 3DEXPERIENCE platform has been selected as the ?oneplatform? to ensure digital continuity of process and data. This approach is supported by Dassault Systèmes Teams and its challenge is to provide a robust industrial environment able to ensure a high level of standardization for this platform at the same time to be able to answer to each Business unit product specificity. This paper will focus on : Airbus helicopters needs related to SPDM, demonstration in 3DEXPERIENCE of the first steps and associated strategy, DDMS context, as a ?group? development opportunity, to improve the synergy between trans-Business Units simulation communities and to perform (through SAFE methodology) the deployment of dedicated releases based on a common platform. 3DEXPERIENCE platform and closed collaboration with Dassault System which allows on the one hand to support consistent platform introduction and on another hand to take advantage of accelerated developments (co-specification and implementation of breakthrough capabilities). * ?A value-focussed approach to SPDM deployment?, Mark Norris (theSDMconsultancy.com), Gwénaël Neveu (Digital Product Simulation), (Lionel Fine - Airbus Helicopters), NAFEMS FR Conference 2020, 25-26 November Paris
