John Deere is a world leader in off-road equipment manufacturing and is now operating under a new hinge era focused on technology, speed, and efficiency. Deere offers a variety of products and services and has manufacturing and engineering facilities around the world. Equipment platforms offered are in Agricultural, construction & forestry, and Turf and utility vehicles sectors. The virtual design and verification (VD&V) community is positioned within the product engineering organization. A governance structure has been put in place to promote the key initiatives set forth by our leaders (technology development, speed and efficiency). A few highlights of this structure and the acceptance journey will be highlighted. Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM) is a challenging process to deploy in a large organization such as Deere. This key initiative was initiated eight years ago, and the governance structure is allowing Deere to make decisions that have help its evaluation and deployment.
