Automatic Mesh Generator Using the Delaunay Voronoi Principle

This paper on "Automatic Mesh Generator Using the Delaunay Voronoi Principle" was presented at the 5th International Conference on Reliability of Finite Element Methods for Engineering Applications - 10-12 May 1995, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Abstract

Many different methods have been proposed for automatic mesh generation for arbitrary geometries including multibloc techniques, advancing front approaches, Delaunay based methods and quadtree-octree algorithms. The method discussed within this paper is of the Delaunay type. Three cases of mesh generation problems are envisaged. The first cast, namely the “natural” case, consists of creating a mesh in a domain using the discretization of its boundaries as data. The second situation corresponds to the case when size specification are input while the third situation corresponds to a specification of anisotropic type.
