Good design starts with identifying the relationship between product performance and design variables. Understanding the relationships between these parameters and their influence on the overall design is crucial to ensure that the problem is maintained in a technically and economically feasible context, whether it concerns the product or the manufacturing process. Robust design optimization (RDO) induces minimizing the impact of variability and quantifying uncertainties (UQ) in the practice of simulation engineering.
