Artificial Intelligence in Simulation Engineering: Applications and Underlying Principles

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly being adopted in simulation engineering, enabling more efficient analyses, improved decision-making, and deeper insights into complex systems. This webinar provides an introduction to the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in simulation engineering. It will cover fundamental AI concepts, including various methods such as neural networks and clustering, and discuss selected applications from recent research. The session aims to offer an overview of how AI techniques are applied in simulation contexts, providing insights into their potential and limitations.

Max Kassera – (yasAI)

Max Kassera studied mechanical engineering with a minor in economics at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, where he first applied machine learning and artificial intelligence to turbocharger design in 2017. After graduating, he was awarded two German government grants to develop AI software for mechanical engineering, which led to the incorporation of yasAI in 2022. With yasAI, Max began training engineers in applying AI to simulation projects with a focus on simulations and fluid mechanics.
